Ai kago etait une membres de la 4eme generation des Morning Musume. elle quitte le groupe en 2004 pour former avec "sa jumelle" Tsuji Nozomi , le groupe W
Cependant debut 2006, Aibon est prise en photo par le magazine FRIDAY (le meme qui avait demander le renvoi de Mari Yaguchi) en train de fumer! Or, la loi (au japon) stipule qu'avant 20 ans , fumer est interdit.... Aibon avait 18 quand la photo a été prise! Le magazine demanda a ce qu'Ai Kago soit suspendu! Tsunku n'a pas le choix et doit mettre en pause le groupe W.
Debut 2007, dès rumeur du retour de Aibon florrissent, et elle accorde une interview a un magazine ou alle laisse sous entendre que son retour serait proche.
Cependant , en Mars 2007 Ai kago est de nouveau prise en photo cette fois si en compagnie d'un homme agé (37 ans) et on les a vue aller dans un" LOVE hotel". L'homme pretend etre de la famille.
L' UFA s'est prononcé : si c'est un ami, y a pas de problème, mais si elle a passé la nui avec lui, elle a été bien imprudente...
Les photos parraissent le 26 Mars, les information ayant été verifié Ai Kago ne peut plus faire parti du H!P. En effet, les idols ne doivent pas avoir de petits amis.
Son contrat est rompu, elle quitte le h!p le 26 Mars 2007.

１年前の喫煙問題の時は、まだ将来のある17歳という年齢も考慮し、実家での謹慎という処分を課しました。１年間の反省過程をみて話し合いの場を設け、再 起に向けて一から準備を始めるため、今年の１月２３日に上京してから、東京の事務所で社会勉強と事務の手伝いをさせていました。約二ヶ月間きちんとした勤 務ぶりでしたが、今回に関しては二度目ということもあり、復帰については断念することにしました。また、未成年であるため御家族と相談の上了承を頂き、契 約についても解除することとなりました。
このような事態になってしまった事については深く反省し、管理責任を痛感しています。
今後、尚一層の責任感を持ち、特に未成年のタレントに対しては指導の再徹底を行っていきます。

One year ago, when Kago was 17 and the smoking problem happened, we still considered her future in this company, and as punishment, she was imposed to house arrest in her parents' home. Seeing how she had progressed over that year, it was decided to start from scratch and start preparing for a comeback by bringing her to Tokyo and having her do clerical and other office duties, starting on January 23rd. Although this worked out well for two months, there was another incident and the comeback plan was abandoned. After consulting with the family, as she is a minor, it has been confirmed, and she has been released from her contract.
We're very sorry that it has come to this, and accept full responsibility.

Autre information:Le journaliste Kôzo Inoue, qui a suivit l'affaire Kago, a donné les informations suivantes dans l'émission Uraneta Geinou Wide! Syukan Emishow. Selon lui :
- Kago n'est pas désolé de ce qui c'est passé (genre elle s'en fout quoi)
- Ai n'a jamais cessé de fumer (en même temps vas-y pour réussir à arrêter de fumer du jour au lendemain). Elle fume des Virginia Slim ROSE Menthol.
- Ishimoto Yasuki, son mec est sorti avec Yaida Akiko, la femme de l'ex d'Abe Natsumi, quand elle était plus jeune.
